Silly

I wouldn't have it any other way. Wisconsin was music to my ears as our plane descended over familiar greenery. With commentary provided by Arizona and Finland natives, I never realized how lucky I am to have grown up in the land of beer & cheese. They thought it was beautiful and eclectic as my friends and I shared memories and laughed about the "good times" we shared in such a welcoming city. I think our trip to the Midwest will be something we all will think of and simply smile. With a "round three" attitude night after night it sure was everything I remember it being: a great time.

Here, I captured the after effect of a unanimous decision to commit some "risky business." Nothing but smiles with this group. What were we laughing about? You'll never know...

Boys of Summer

"Boys of Summer" by Don Henley is on my list of "oldies but goodies." Not going to lie I had it on repeat while I packed up my room last summer. It assisted me in hosting my own pity party as the day I dreaded for so long finally came: moving on. Here I am though, the west coast life isn't too shabby and in the first couple weeks of summer I've realized there are a lot more memories to come. But for now, here are a few of my [summer] favorites:

Little Italy

Last weekend I took a risk with my final exams and spent the night in Italy. Chef Dave Abella, a family friend, offered to cook dinner for our family while teaching an amateur "chef" his theory behind the culinary arts. As illustrated in the photos above, I learned more than expected and ended the evening with a glass of wine in "Little Italy" otherwise known as our back patio.

Tips to Remember:

1.) Taste everything
2.) Buy GOOD olive oil
3.) Pasta is always good with butter and cheese

Kodak Moment

I recently declared my major as International Public Relations. I chose three subject areas: Spanish,Communication and Photography. I've always wanted to study photography, communicating with people through a picture can be very empowering. I always enjoy the work Annie Leibovitz created with Rolling Stone Magazine. Leibovtiz was a fly on the wall, snapping pics of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. They were vulnerable, unexpected moments. However, those are the pictures that capture truth and undeniable beauty.
I've managed to take two photos as a faux Leibovitz. These photographs are natural portraits of two of my close friends, Annie and Erica.

Say cheese!
